Can my modern kitchen do that?
Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize! And if you change your mind later and want another look, it will be easy to do the new look without too much money and work!
Check out TheLetteredCottage.blogspot.com she has a post today about distressing her cabinets and how she got that look! She redid her whole kitchen and is working on the rest of her house. Hope this helps!
DecoD .. That is a smart idea.. I just dont know how to start ? what goes with something sleek and modern? Kaye Thanks for the link..I;ll check it and get back to ya!
An idea you might fall in love with is liquid starch and fabric. Dip your fabric of choice in liquid starch, place it on your cabinet door or wall that you are covering, and stretch it out to get the wrinkles out. White linen should give you the soft-distressed look you want on your cabinets. Or some light pin striped canvas. This technique will give you a nice background for your accessories! When you want it removed, take a wet sponge and wet the fabric thoroughly, then pull off.
Keep us posted on what you decide to do and take lots of pictures.
